Last month I had the pleasure of photographing the Beckert Wedding at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Amanda and Ben traveled all the way from Texas to be married in the same church his parents had been married some decades ago. The day was a beautiful mix of sun, rain clouds and storms but most of all, just happy. If you enjoy these images, please feel free to share as I am opening my calendar for weddings the remainder of 2016 and 2017.
Earlier this month I had the opportunity to do a super fun colab with Jennifer at An Elegant Affair Bridal in downtown Cedar Falls. If you are a bride-to-be, make this your first and only stop. The gowns are beyond gorgeous and the service is top notch. Looking forward to photographing more of these beauties next month! Also, I am in need of an engaged couple for a styled shoot. Shoot me over an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like to model and receive the digital images in exchange for your time.
On a cool and blustery day late October, I met Erica and Josh in the quaint little town of Solon, Iowa to document their wedding day. We started our day at the Hayloft located in the Palmer House Stable, a beautiful venue I would love to visit again. Shortly after, we put on our coats to head outside to try and capture all the charm this little town had to offer despite the cold and wind. It was clear we wouldn't last long even though not a soul complained. Before long we were in our cars to caravan the short distance to Iowa City where they would pledge their vows to one other and would return to celebrate the night away.
