On a gorgeous late spring afternoon, I met Kyle and Erica out at the beautiful Hickory Hills Park. Each tucked away in a little one room cabin so as not to see one another before the ceremony, they began to prepare amongst family and friends. They would meet under the largest and what I would imagine the oldest tree in the park to say their vows and begin their journey as husband and wife. Here's just a little glimpse into their day.
I had Erica and Kyle out this past Summer to celebrate their engagement with a photo session, looking back on these now I am missing this time of year big time. It is truly gorgeous out here during the Summer months and I can't wait to share their beautiful wedding (which was held at another gorgeous setting) later this week.
earlier this spring i had the pleasure of shooting josh and erica's engagement photos out here at the farm. it was a super windy day, but these two worked it out and i just love these images. i'm super excited to shoot their barn wedding later this fall. and speaking of barn weddings, one of my dreams when we moved to the farm was to one day create a venue for small, intimate wedding ceremonies and gatherings. we have a long ways to go as far as what my ultimate vision for out here looks like, but i've got to start somewhere. so with that, if you or someone you know is looking for a peaceful location with gorgeous views and plenty of space to sprawl out for your small wedding ceremony or event, give me a holler. my first wedding event held here at the farm is coming up in just a few short weeks and i can't wait to share it with you. but for now, here's a little peek at josh and erica.
